Amazon Cloud Day Celebrated at Daffodil University
50 thousand Amazon Web Services (AWS) experts will be created in Bangladesh through training in collaboration with Daffodil International Professional Training Institute – DIPTI. This initiative will be conducted under the direct supervision of 10 expert trainers in collaboration with AWS in Bangladesh. Daffodil International University (DIU) and DIPTI jointly celebrated the Amazon Web Services Cloud Day-2023 on Saturday (17 June, 2023) in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikdar, Daffodil University Chairman Md. Sabur Khan, Daffodil Family CEO Mohammad Nuruzzaman, BASIS President Russell T Ahmed, Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh President ATMA Hamid, Amazon Web Services Head of Training and Certification Amit Mehta were present among the guests. AWS Leader, Solution Architecture (Startups) Mohammad Mahdi-Uz Zaman presented the keynote at the event. Later, the secretary of the ICT Division Md. Samsul Arefin attended the closing ceremony.
It was informed at the event that DIPTI has taken this initiative with the help of Daffodil International University to promote AWS cloud services in Bangladesh. AWS will train 50,000 techies for employment through AWS cloud services. Daffodil will play an important role in creating job opportunities by skilling the youth. The Daffodil family will embrace the opportunity AWS has to build skilled human resources around the world.
In addition to training, the five polytechnic institutes in the Daffodil Education Network will also receive AWS Academy status, preparing students for industry-recognized certifications and careers in the cloud.
The day-long event aimed to introduce internationally and locally recognized AWS workshops, cloud-native applications and machine learning technologies. Apart from this, information technology sector participants were informed about AWS professional courses and various events were organized.
